Is there a time limit on the FTMO challenge? ›

There is no time limit within which you need to pass the Profit Target, the Trading Period is indefinite. As soon as all the Trading Objectives of your FTMO Challenge are met and your results are reviewed, you can proceed to the Verification phase. The minimum time to complete an FTMO Challenge is 4 trading days.

You will be removed from the Premium Programme if one of the following situations occurs: You fail the FTMO Account which is part of the Premium Programme. You fail 3 accounts regardless of the of the stage (FTMO Challenge, Verification, FTMO Account) You breach the contractual requirements of the Premium Programme.

We do not place any limit on the number of accounts you can have in the FTMO Challenge and Verification stage. However, we have a maximum capital allocation limit when you are an FTMO Trader, which is $400,000 (on Normal risk setup, prior to scaling) per trader or strategy, at any given time.

The Swing account is a type of account designed for more conservative traders who hold positions for more extended periods. The main difference from the Normal account type is the ability to hold positions overnight and over the weekend even after passing the Verification.

If you trade and accidentally leave your account inactive for a few weeks, we will contact you to make sure the account is not sitting unused on our server, taking up space.

We don't charge any commissions for withdrawals.

You don't need to score any minimum profit to receive a Profit Split, only just enough to cover the transaction fees* Whatever amount of profit you generate, you are entitled to withdraw 80% of it.

Just keep in mind that our maximum capital allocation on FTMO Accounts is $400,000 per trader/strategy. If you are successful and consistent in the long run, your FTMO Account balance can be increased according to our Scaling Plan.

With FTMO, once you get to the FTMO Trader stage you can receive real rewards for your performance. You can withdraw your reward anytime between 14 to 60 days from your first trade on your FTMO Account (Profit Split).

Do you have to trade everyday FTMO? ›

Trading Day

You do not have to trade for 4 days consecutively, you just simply have to complete at least 4 Trading Days in total by the end of the trading period.

However, unlike some other companies, at FTMO you only pay a one-time contribution and don't have to pay any additional monthly fees. When you pass our Evaluation Process and get an FTMO Account, we refund this fee so you will be actually only trading with our money.

During these stages, you can keep your positions open overnight and over the weekend as well. However, once you become an FTMO Trader and get an FTMO Account, we require you to close your positions just before the markets close for the weekend or if the rollover (market break) is longer than 2 hours.

During the FTMO Challenge & Verification, you can ignore the rule of not trading in the window of 2 mins before to 2 minutes after the specific releases. We don't enforce it as we want to make it easier for you to pass the evaluation process.
